About
Scatterhoard A Sokoban-style, totally accurate* huge acorn hoarding simulator Winter is coming. *loud groan* Lucky for you, it's still autumn! Prepare for winter by pushing and hoarding strange giant acorns around the forest. Featuring a squirrel, cute but deadly owls, a day/night cycle, nyctinasty, pixel art graphics using the Indecision palette, a retro soundtrack, pumpkins and mushrooms. This was made for the Great Autumn Game Jam 2021. It's the first fully featured game I've actually managed to complete and publish! I stuck to the optional palette and had a great time implementing the optional day/night mechanic, which ended up being one of the main mechanics of the game. I hope you enjoy! Design, art, code, sfx and music all made from scratch by me. Fonts by the awesome Daniel Linssen. Controls Use arrow keys (or the on-screen touch controls if applicable) to move. Press "R" to restart the current level. to disable/enable sound and music, press S or M. You can also click on the corresponding icon. * accuracy was measured in relation to a hypotetical reality where comically huge acorns that bury themselves after hovering and shining for a second are a thing.
